I am overwhelmed at the content of this site. This is a great site to propagate Murugan Bhakthi and educate the multitudes of us who live out of India and who are out of touch or distanced from our culture and heritage. We are in the process of setting up a website for our Murugan temple in Johannesburg and was surfing the net for some ideas when I stumbled across this site. We will definitely create a link to this site when ours gets off the ground to share this to the thousands of South African Murugan devotees and members of our congregation. Om Saravanabava.

Pranam to all His devotees. I have been singing Kandar Anubhuti from my childhood, and the verses have gone deep into my mind and churned my body and mind, as the final verse says "Guruvay Varuvay Guhane" (last song), I got admitted into a gurukulam where the master is a satguru . With his blessings and with satguru's grace, I swear that I will attain Murugan bhakti where "I" will be lost, "He" will be there. Thiruthaniyil udithuarlum oruthan mail viruthan
Enathu (a bhakta) ulathil urai (above text) karuthan mail nadathu guhan vele

Excellent site about Lord Murugan. Keep up the good work. Congratulations. In the Sri Lankan context on 24 Feb 2002 Lord Murugan is becoming a unifying force between the Buddhists and the Hindus. Especially when we consider Kathirgamam (Kataragama)worshipped by Buddhists as well as Hindus. Being universal religions Once the Buddhists and Hindus get together Muslims and Christians can be assured of their fair and due rights being ensured. Let us Pray that Lord Murugan awakes from his slumber in sri lanka to restore its original glory.

I was so thrilled to have stumbled upon this wonderful website which is really a "kānikkai" to Lord Muruga -- the first thing I did was to call my husband and tell him about it. We visited Pazhani in November last year (we walked up, using the "elephant path"). It is a divine and wonderful place, I shall never forget the overwhelming emotions I felt just being up there and being able to see the Lord. It's good that I came across this website. There's so much to read and the pictures are really beautiful. We hope to make another trip this year, and cover all the "Aarupadaiveedu".

I am truly overwhelmed by this site. For those who thirst for knowledge and information of 'Kaliyuga Varadan Subramaniya Swami' is greatly exposed in this site. I am very happy over this site which is solely for 'emPerumAn Murugar' which is benefitting all Hindus across the globe.

Your website is lovely, informative and good. Please avoid multiple spellings like Murukan for Murugan ( english can support "G") which is jarring. The site is really interesting with lot of details.

I sometime before stumbled upon 'Kanda Shashti Kavasam' a free booklet issued by Gopal Camphor Co, a popular company manufacturing quality camphor products. In that book, it was mentioned that Lord Muruga's popularity is spreading more than ever. Also I noted that a website is also being created on Lord Muruga. Then when I search the site without knowing what it is, I find your site. I was fascinated by your site. A very attractive site. Congratulations for your work on Lord Muruga. May Lord Muruga give you all the assistance in keeping the site spread the name of Muruga everywhere -- a strong devotee of Lord Muruga.

As a student of religions, I was required by my instructor to visit a place of worship. Being interested in Hinduism, I stumbled upon the Temple of Shiva Murugan in Concord. Since then, I have become facinated with this interesting, ancient God. I would like to thank the authors for such an informative site, which has helped me in my quest to find a manifestation of God that I can personally identify with.

I thank you for having this website. The information was really useful for me to know more about the god. The articles listed in the site are very useful to know more about the god. Even though the site had almost all the info about the god, it will be a great service for Muruga bhaktars like me to give information on how to travel to those sacred places. As a Murugar bhaktar I love to visit Kataragama. Thanks once again for the great work and keep up this good work. Rajendran Subramaniam

It's nice to see Lord Murugan's home page. I believe you are aware that Saint Ramalingam sang songs in praise of Lord Muruga in his early days & maybe you can copy those portions from Vallalar's website and publish it at Lord Muruga's portal. Keep up your good work.

Thank you for the web site! In 1997 I went on a Pada Yatra to Palani and felt such power there! Still have Muruga on my wall everywhere I go.... I am looking for information about the drumming that occurred at the temple and in procession -- trance-inducing drumming. I am interested in the history and cultural aspects of this form of drumming as well as it's spiritual uses. If anyone has any leads for me, where to find informatin, I would greatly appreciate it! Also if anyone could write to me with some of the chants and songs that I heard and learned on that Pada yatra, I would be most greatful, as I have forgotten them for the most part and am trying to write a paper about it.

Well done bhaktarkale! Shaktivel Muruganukku Hara Haro Hara! Superb web for people who could not visit the shrines from distant places. You gave them the opportunity to surrender to the Lord Muruga via web. We are sure that Lord will accept our pranams offered keeping the web open. Please pray for these souls to have an opportunity to visit these temples and shrines in person, offer obeisances and to get blessings. You made it in such a way that devotees feel closer to Lord Muruga, though bodily they are in distant countries in the world. We pray to Lord Murugua that each and every individual in the world should be given the same boon so that all will be able to go back to the Godhead, which is the aim of one and all, instead of suffering in this material world with conditioned soul. Wish you all the best.
